We encourage you to enroll in the Speed Reading and Study Strategies program offered through Weber State University, Continuing Education, and designed and taught by faculty of the Institute of Reading Development. In just two weekends, this course will increase your effectiveness as a reader and a student. As a result, you will be better equipped to manage the competing demands on your time.

When you complete this course, you will be able to read your textbooks twice as fast. In easier reading materials, such as most non-fiction books, novels, and journal articles, you will read three times faster. You will understand and retain information better, even while reading at these higher speeds. In addition, you will be able to prepare for tests efficiently, without extensive rereading.

Instructors and curriculum associated with this program are provided by the Institute of Reading Development. The Institute has worked with the Weber State University Continuing Education division over the past 10 years, in addition to working with many other leading universities and colleges.

This four-day program will meet on Saturdays and Sundays for two consecutive weekends. Program dates are September 26 & 27 and October 3 & 4 from 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. or 1:30 p.m.-5 p.m.

This is the only Speed Reading and Study Strategies program that will be offered this academic year. Enrollment is limited.
